Tier Two Mitigation Plan Updates

Due to the rapidly evolving developments and public health implications in the potential spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and our responsibility to public well-being, areas of the Park District are currently closed or operating under restrictions as a public health precaution in response to the recommendations from the Centers of Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Public Health. Masks or face coverings are required to be worn at all times.  

Facilities

Pavilion Fitness - The gym is OPEN with modified guidelines and some restrictions. Face coverings must be worn at all times. Locker rooms are open with limited showers available. Group fitness classes will be offered both virtually and in-person (with limited capacity) beginning Monday, January 25th. Personal Training continues in person and is available now.  Learn more about the changes on the Pavilion Fitness website.

Pavilion Aquatics Center - The warm water therapy and lagoon pools are closed.  Lap swimming is available by reservation only in the main pool. Face coverings must be worn at all times except for when lap swimmers are in the pool. Stroke Clinic, Private Swim Lessons and Aqua Wellness classes will resume on Monday, January 25. Fox Run Golf Links - The golf course is OPEN. Visit their website to book a tee time online or call (847) 228-3544 for booking with Elk Grove resident prices. 

Audubon Indoor Skate Park - The indoor skate park is OPEN as of Wed, January 20, 2021 with modified guidelines and some restrictions. Skate sessions are available by advance reservation only. Guests without reservations cannot be accommodated at this time. Private Skateboard Lessons continue in-person by appointment. Call (847) 437-9494. Visit their website.

Sheila Ray Adult Center - OPEN as of Mon, January 25, 2021. Activities must be reserved in advance by calling (847)  437-9494. Learn more about the changes on their website.

Elk Grove Park District Preschool is OPEN with hybrid classes offering both in-person and remote learning.  Visit their website.  Please note: The Al Hattendorf Park will not be available to the public from the hours of 7:30am - 3:30pm, Mon-Fri for the safety of our children.

Garden Terrace at the Pavilion - Rentals are available for groups of 10 or less. Future reservations can be taken at (847) 228-3183. Visit their website.

Jumps n' Jiggles & Carousel - is closed until further notice. Future reservations can be taken at (847) 228-3183. Visit their website.

Elk Grove Historical Museum - Closed until further notice.

All other facilities are currently closed until further notice. 


Programs

Arts & Special Events - Special events are cancelled. Private Music Lessons will continue in person. Youth Art classes will go Virtual.  

Athletics - Karate classes begin Mon, January 25. Cheerleading begins Wed, January 20.

Dance - Dance classes return to the studios for in-person learning.  Private dance lessons continue in person with the option of going virtual based on participant’s preference.  

School-Age Child Camp - During Tier 2 Kids Club Camp will continue to operate in person.  


Parks Updates

Park amenities - Including basketball courts, inline hockey rinks, outdoor skate park and playgrounds are open.

Tennis Courts - Open for singles and doubles match play. Please abide by the rules posted. 

Morton & Olmsted Park - Weather permitting, our Parks crew is working on clearing weed trees and brush along the creek as part of an inhouse restoration project that began November 30, 2020. Included in the work is a "stack and burn" of wood material as a part of the cleanup. The work will be ongoing throughout the winter. 


During the Tier Two Mitigation Plan individuals may leave their residence to engage in outdoor activity such as walking, hiking, running, or biking and may go to public parks and open outdoor recreation areas if they comply with the social distancing requirements however some playgrounds are closed due to programming.
