The common image of early farms in America is of men in the fields, and women in the home. But women could operate the entire farm while the men worked in town or hunted games. This exhibit will look into the lives of farming women of Elk Grove Township through select artifacts from the Museum's collection. A featured artifact is a wedding dress used in a farm wedding.
Exhibit opens to the public on Friday, October 16, 2020.
Admission is free. $1 donations are suggested and highly encouraged.
