What Fall Preschool will look like:

• Increased cleaning enhancements 
• Daily wellness self-check done at home by parent
• Staggered Parent curbside drop-offs & pickups will be through varied & assigned doors 
• Temperature checks taken by staff at drop-off for each child prior to entering our program
• Tightened sick protocols
• Preferred face coverings required for children & staff
• Smaller class sizes
• Increased nature-based outdoor learning
• Purposeful classroom set-ups to allow for social-distancing & easier sanitation
• Visuals like hula hoops, taped shapes, and marked spaces will help children understand & maintain social distancing  
• Live Virtual Preschool via Google Meet in the afternoons for all registered preschoolers

Families will conduct an at-home self check prior to arriving to preschool. Use 847-690-1138 to call a sick child out of school, indicating their symptoms. If a child displays ill symptoms in the classroom, parent or guardian will be contacted to pickup their child. In order for a child to return to preschool, a return to play note must be filled out by a medical professional. How you can help your Preschooler better prepare for their in person learning experiences in class:

• Practice taking their temperature
• Practice wearing a preferred face covering
• Practice frequent handwashing & using hand sanitizer
• Practice bathroom independence
• Practice & explain social distancing and keeping safe hands
• Talk often about ease of separation & safety at drop-off and pick-up

If you teach them the importance of wellness, they will better understand our new routines & protocols.

Families should have received a welcome email with documentation about the current school year and it's modifications and procedures. These documents can also be found using the links below or on our Registration page. Adjustments may occur as new guidelines are provided from DCFS/ISBE/IDPH and the Governor's Office of Early Childhood Development.
